Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

xylery aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Accessibility is a requirement of every feature we ship, not a retrofit: our key pages are checked automatically against WCAG 2.2 AA rules on every change, and we run a manual accessibility pass — keyboard-only navigation, screen readers, zoom, and reduced motion — before launch and after any motion or feed work.

What we do today

1. Every page declares its language, landmarks, and heading structure.
2. Interactive controls are real buttons and links with visible focus and names.
3. Moving content (like the windowsill rails) pauses on hover and respects reduced-motion settings.
4. Automated axe-core checks (WCAG 2.2 AA) run in our browser test harness; a violation fails the build.

Known limitations

We are a small project still before public launch, and automated tools only catch a fraction of accessibility issues. Known gaps we are actively working on:

• Some older pages have not yet had a full screen-reader pass.
• User-uploaded photos may be missing descriptive alt text.

Tell us when something is hard to use

If any part of xylery is difficult to use with assistive technology, we want to know — accessibility reports are treated as bugs, not suggestions.

• Use the Report a bug button (the bug icon in the header of every page) and mention that it is an accessibility issue.
• Or email [email protected] with the page address and what went wrong.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within a few days and to fix or work around confirmed barriers as a priority.
