Two fiddle-leaf figs didn't make it, and honestly, we mourned together. But I got back up, repotted my grief, and now Sir Rootington is thriving-ish, Zucchini Court is holding steady, and Vine Time is basically running the household. I keep my care streaks on xylery mostly to prove to myself that consistency is possible, and to collect sunbeams from people who know one crispy leaf isn't a failure, it's a plot twist.
